Migliore & Infranco announces new litigation
Migliore & Infranco, P.C. announces that it will be accepting cases regarding several new drug and medical device litigations. These include Hydroxycut dietary supplements, Defective Hip Replacements manufactured by Zimmer, Inc, Stryker Corp. and Howmedica Osteonics, Raptiva (a psoriasis medication) and Defective Pain Pumps, manufactured by Stryker Corp., I-Flow Corp. and DonJoy, Inc.
Hydroxycut, a common weight loss supplement, has been found to cause a large assortment of serious health problems such as liver damage, rhabdomyolysis, cardiac arrhythmia, heart attack, seizures, stroke and death.
Defective hip replacements have manufactured by Zimmer Inc., Stryker Corp. and Howmedica Osteonics. They may require revision surgery to correct malfunctioning hip implants. In early 2008, Stryker issued a recall on its Trident Hip Implants. Patients complained of "squeaky hips" and joint pain.
Raptiva is a psoriasis medication. Some individuals have contracted progressive multifocal leukoencephalopathy (PML), a rare, serious, progressive neurologic disease caused by a virus that affects the central nervous system, after receiving Raptive injections.
Defective shoulder pain pumps have been manufactured by Stryker Corp., I-Flow Corp. and Donjoy, Inc. Some individuals have developed Chondrolysis (PAGCL), the permanent degeneration of shoulder cartilage. This occured post-operatively when using a pain pump.
